Medical Resources

Conditions we represent.

Our Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income cases relate to many kinds of medical impairments. Below is the SSA’s broad categorization, followed by medical references our advocates have relied on.

SSA body-system listings

Our Social Security Disability cases relate to any of the following impairments.

Musculoskeletal System
Special Senses and Speech
Respiratory System
Cardiovascular System
Digestive System
Genito-Urinary System
Hemic and Lymphatic System
Skin
Endocrine System
Multiple Body Systems
Neurological
Mental Disorders
Neoplastic Diseases, Malignant
Immune System

This is the broad SSA framework, not a complete list. Many successful claims combine impairments across more than one body system. We have won cases that span four or five at once.

Several years ago The Arthritis Foundation issued an open letter to the public warning of the large percentage of people suffering from osteoporosis. We find that their percentages have not changed. As always, Bissi & Associates Disability Advocates steps in when we see a situation in which we can contribute help.

In July of 2006, the Cleveland Clinic Arthritis Advisor spread the word that approximately 90,000 people in the United States died because people were combining their arthritis medications. We immediately ran seminars to warn people of the possible danger. We encourage you to read this article. Please subscribe to the Cleveland Clinic Arthritis Advisor.

Johns Hopkins Hospital published a booklet entitled Lung Disorders. In this publication, it is advised to the public that chronic obstructive lung disease is incurable. This publication also outlined many ways that people who suffer from COPD and emphysema could live and improve lifestyle.

Several years ago, the Mayo Clinic published a wonderful eight-page medical essay entitled Arthritis. We encourage you to read this article. Please subscribe to the Mayo Clinic Health Letter.

As a closing thought, let it be known that we fight for each case as though it were our very own.
